Restore the Animated Internet Explorer Logo
If you signed up with an ISP, that uses a 'cobranded' version of Internet Explorer, you may notice that the animated globe logo, or throbber was replaced with something else. If you don't like the new throbber, you can get rid of it, however, its only a partial solution, and it requires a Registry edit.

Messing with the Registry can cause bad things to happen to your computer, so follow this step only if you're desperate to return to the old spinning logo. If you decide to edit the Registry, make sure to back up your registry.

Launch the Registry Editor by clicking Start--Run. Type regedit in the Run dialog box that appears.

Navigate to the key:

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Toolbar

In the right pane, select BrandBitmap and SmBrandBitmap. Delete these entries. Exit the Registry Editor and restart your computer.
