Access Denied: Insufficient Privilege To Save Key

This is normal when you try to do a Save Key operation at the top level of a Registry hive. This will happen even if you logged on as the Administrator and have Full Control permissions on the top level of each Registry key.

You can save subhives elsewhere in the tree. Or save the complete Registry. To do this, do a complete tape backup with the Backup Registry option selected. Alternatively, you can use the Regback utility that comes as part of the Microsoft Windows NT Resource Kit.
