Printing Thumbnail Copies of Document Pages
If you're engaged in laying out a rather complicated document that just has to look good coming out of the printer, you can save time, paper, and precious printer ink by first printing thumbnail copies of your document on a single page. These thumbnail copies let you know how the document will be laid out and where the page breaks will be, so you can make adjustments before printing the entire document.

Go to File, Print, click the Scale To Paper Size button, and select the paper size with which you're working. Then, indicate on the Zoom dialog box how many of your pages you'd like to see per sheet, and click OK. Little mini versions of your document's pages will print on a single sheet, according to your specifications.
