If you use the Run command a lot, you'll notice that the MRU (most recently used) list can get quite lenghty. If you want to limit the length of this list, you should check this out. However, to do this, you have to edit the registry, so caution should be used when using this tip.
Click Start, Run, type in
regedit
and press Enter.
When RegEdit opens, navigate to
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\RunMRU.
In the right pane, you'll see a list of the files in the Run menu. To delete one of them, click its icon and press Delete. You can delete as many as you like--all if you choose. When finished, choose RegEdit, Exit to close the program and save your changes. Now restart the computer and you'll have only what you didn't delete in the Run list.
