Add a New User
When you want to add a new user to your workstation, click Start, Control Panel, User Accounts. When User Accounts opens, cClick Create a new account. Now you can fill in all the pertinent information. Just keep in mind that the name must be unique on the network and that it must be no more than 20 characters in length (this includes letters and numbers). Also, remember that the names are case sensitive.

You can use spaces in the name, but you can't use the following characters:

  • / (slash)
  • [ ] (brackets)
  • : (colon)
  • ; (semicolon)
  • | (piping symbol)
  • = (equal sign)
  • + (plus sign)
  • , (comma)
  • * (asterisk)
  • ? (question mark)
  • > (greater than)

After you've entered all the information, click OK. Choose User, Exit to close User Manager.
