When you want to make your printer accessible to the rest of the network, click Start, Printers and Faxes, and then right-click the printer icon. Choose Sharing and select the Share this printer radio button. Now give the printer a name that others on the network can use for access. Note that this name must follow MS-DOS conventions if anyone is still using MS-DOS programs to access it. When finished, click OK to close the dialog box.
If you want to remove the sharing, follow the same procedure, but this time select the Do not share this printer radio button and click OK.
