Wrong Video Driver
If you should make the wrong choice when installing a video display driver, there's a chance that you'll end up with a blank screen.

You should not try to do anything with a blank screen. The best approach is to restart the computer using the power switch or the reset button. The computer will restart in VGA mode, and you can continue working with your video installation.
