New Mail Notification

Outlook Express provides a simple procedure for letting you know there is new mail anytime you're online. Just follow these steps:
  • From the Tools menu, choose Options.
  • Click the General tab, and select Check for new messages every (xx) minutes.
  • Fill in the blank with the time interval that works best for you.
  • Click OK.
Once you've saved these settings, Outlook Express will alert you at the selected interval with a beep and then display updated information that includes whether you have new messages.
