Linking Documents--Part 3 of 5: Breaking A Linked Document
In this series of tips, we've covered various aspects of linking documents via Microsoft's Object Linking and Embedding (OLE) technology. Today, we'll tell you what to do if you decide, that linking just isn't what you want to do.
To break a link and edit the text of a document normally, first choose Edit, Links. In the resulting dialog box, select the correct link and click Break Link. Your document treats the linked passage as standard text from this point forward.
