No NTFS Floppies

When you right-click drive A, icon and choose Format in Windows XP Explorer, the only option appears to be a FAT format.

This is correct. You can't format a floppy using NTFS. When you format a floppy disk using Windows XP, even when your system uses NTFS, the floppy gets formatted with FAT.
