Getting Rid of the Runs
If you would like to know if you can eliminate part of the long Run list that results from repeated use of the Run dialog box. There's one way we know of, and that's to edit the registry. Perhaps some subscribers know of another way.

If you do edit the registry, be careful. Click Start, Run, type in

regedit

and press Enter. When RegEdit opens, navigate to HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\RunMRU. In the right pane, you'll see a list of the files in the Run menu. To delete one of them, click its icon and press Delete. You can delete as many as you like--all if you choose. When finished, choose RegEdit, Exit to close the program and save your changes. Now restart the computer and you'll have only what you didn't delete in the Run list.
