Change the Drive
If you've ever wondered what to do about playing music after you add a new CD-ROM drive, check this out. Let's say your original CD designation was D. Now you have two CD-ROM drives--D and E, and you'd like to listen to music on E.

First of all, if you haven't already done so, you need to move the audio cable that runs from the sound card to the new drive. Next, click Start, Control Panel. When Control Panel opens, double-click the Sounds and Audio Devices icon. When the dialog box opens, click the Hardware tab. Find your CD/DVD drive in the list and click the Properties button. When the dialog appears, click the Properties tab, and insure that the Enable digital CD audio for this CD-ROM device checkbox is checked.
