It's always a good idea to look for updated sound drivers now and then. Below is a list of companies where you can find drivers.

If that doesn't work, you can always try Windows Update. Many driver updates usually come in the form of an executable. After you download drivers from your manufacturer's web site, run the executable and install the updates. You will most likely have to restart your PC after the install completes.
