When you open Windows Explorer, it defaults to
C:\Documents and Settings\User_Name\My Documents
Getting Explorer to open to another directory is easy. We've discussed how to open Windows Explorer in a particular folder before. You can do the same with a network folder.
If you can map that folder to a drive letter on your PC, its easy. Simply create a Windows Explorer shortcut and enter the following into the target field:
%SystemRoot%\explorer.exe /e,/n, :\
If you can't map the network share to a drive letter, then all you need to do is make a simple change to the Start in field. Simply put the UNC there, and you're good to go.
