If you've ever moved folders off your desktop and then lost your shortcut keys, check this out.
The problem is that shortcut keys won't work just anywhere. They work on desktop folders and programs, and on folders and programs in the Start menu. To keep your shortcut keys when moving folders from the desktop, run Windows Explorer and navigate to your startup folder, under your login name, and create a new folder (call it HotKeys if you like). Right-click the desktop folder and choose Cut. Now right-click in your new folder and choose Paste.
Restart the computer--you'll find that your newly relocated shortcuts
work just fine.
