Adjusting Row Height
While adjusting the width of table columns has always been a snap (simply rest the mouse pointer on the line of the column you want to adjust until the cursor becomes the familiar slider tool), adjusting the height of rows has always required more intricate formatting. Word 2000 makes it easier.
Adjusting row height when using tables in Word 2000 now works in the same manner as columns. Simply move the mouse pointer until it rests on the boundary line that you wish to modify and turns into the familiar slider tool. Click, then hold and move the mouse to resize the row. It's a little trickier than adjusting columns, as the tool seems more reluctant to "grab" the row, but after a few tries it gets easier.
