There are times when you need to see what environment variables are currently in use. For example, if you unsuccessfully attempt to run a program from the Command Prompt, the program may not be in the path. In this case, all you have to do is type
set
and press Enter. Windows NT Workstation 4.0 will display all the environment variables. If the list is too long to fit in one screen, type
set|more
and press Enter. The More command will cause the display to pause at the end of each page of information. To continue to another page, press Space.
