Create Tables that Jump from Your Page
There's nothing special about tables anymore. Sure, they were a big deal back in the DOS days, when you couldn't line up text in columns to save your life, but now tables are old hat. However, you can use this tip to spice them up.
1. Select your table or individual table cells.
2. Right-click the selection and choose Borders and Shading from the shortcut menu.
3. In the Style list, scroll all the way to the bottom and choose one of the 3D border options.
4. Specify your border settings (using either the preset borders on the left side of the dialog box or the Preview diagram on the right side of the dialog box).
5. Click OK.
Look at THAT--borders that look like they were carved in stone seem to jump from your page.
