Sure, everybody knows Windows comes with a built-in Calculator (in Accessories), but how many of us actually use it? At first glance it doesn't really do much more than what you can already accomplish with a basic hand-held calculator, barely enough functionality to balance your checkbook, right? Wrong! From the View menu, select Scientific and the Calculator will explode with added functions!
The new functions allow you to perform statistical and scientific calculations, as well as offering conversions for other number systems including decimal, hexidecimal, octal and binary.
Right-click on any of the function buttons, select "What's This?" and each function will be explained. There's even built-in speedkeys (keyboard equivalents) available for all functions.
