Stick with your e-mail/news reader
The first time you click MSIE 3.0x's Mail icon and choose Read Mail, you're automatically taken to a setup wizard that assumes you'd like to use Internet Mail to send and receive e-mail. You say you already use Microsoft Exchange (Windows Messaging), Outlook, or some other third-party e-mail app? No problem. Just tell MSIE to use your mail service of choice.

Choose Options under View, click the Programs tab, click the down arrow on the Mail line, and choose your preference. Click OK, and from now on, choosing Read Mail brings up your personal favorite.

The same thing applies to newsreaders. Click the down arrow on the News line, and choose your preference there as well.
