Log on to NT automatically
Don't you hate having to hit Ctrl+Alt+Delete to log on every time you boot into NT 4.0, especially since you have to do it on your standalone home machine where security is less of a problem? If you don't care about security, here's how to log on automatically to Windows NT 4.0.
There's a utility you can use that's already built-in to the same old TweakUI you know and love for Windows 95. It IS the same old TweakUI, or is it? Turns out, if you install TweakUI under NT 4.0 you'll find a few surprises. For example; go to the Network tab, where you can specify the User Name and Password to allow automatic logons under NT. But be aware that this will mean your system is no longer secure.
Check out the new and improved set of Microsoft's PowerToys, many are now compatible with both Win95/NT. Or, if you're in a hurry, Click Here to grab TweakUI for Win95/NT right now.
