Quick Drop Caps in Word
You can create or remove large initial, or dropped, capital letters at the beginning of a paragraph or in the margin next to a paragraph. Depending on the document you're working on, this can lend a dramatic effect to your text.
To create Drop Caps:
1. Click the paragraph that you want to begin with an initial, or dropped, capital letter. (The paragraph must contain text.)
2. On the Format menu, click Drop Cap.
3. Click Dropped or In Margin.
4. Select any other options you want.
5. Click OK to apply.
