In Windows Explorer, the default View menu gives you four options: Large Icons, Small Icons, List, or Details. There is a fifth view called Thumbnails, which shows miniature images of graphics files (such as Microsoft PowerPointŪ presentations, Web documents, and other file types) in an Explorer window. To enable thumbnails for a folder:
- Right-click the folder and click Properties.
- Select Enable thumbnail view.
- When you open the folder in Windows Explorer, from the View menu, click Thumbnail View.
Note: You must have View as Web Page enabled for this folder for Thumbnail View to work. To do this, right-click the folder and from the drop-down menu, select View, as Web Page. For more info see View folders as web pages.
