We all know about typographical errors when typing, but with Office 97 you have another tool at your disposal to deal with them. AutoCorrect.
Word shows us words it doesn't recognize by underlining them with a red, curvy line. If the word is in fact a typo, you can add it to the AutoCorrect list so that the next time you make the same mistake, Word can automatically repair the error. Select the word by double-clicking it, then choose Tools, AutoCorrect. The word will appear in the Replace text box. Type the correct spelling in the With text entry box and click Add. Now click OK to close the AutoCorrect dialog box and save your new entry.
