Remove files immediately on delete

You already know that dragging objects to the Recycle Bin doesn't really delete them. To delete items off of your hard drive altogether, you have to Empty the Recycle Bin. Right-mouse click on its desktop icon, select Empty Recycle Bin, then click on Yes to confirm.

But if you want files deleted immediately, there are actually several ways to do this.

Hold down [Shift] as you drag items to the Recycle Bin, or select your files then press [Shift] + [Del]. The files won't be stored, but deleted right away.

Open the Recycle Bin Properties and click the Global tab. Place a checkmark in the box that says Do not move files to the Recycle Bin. Remove files immediately when deleted.

Lastly, and you probably don't know this one, go to the Global tab in properties again, but this time, move the slider for Maximum size of Recycle Bin all the way to the left to 0%.
