Make it Go Away
You can hide Task Manager and still have it available for use. Open Task Manager (Ctrl+Shift+Esc) and choose Options|Hide When Minimized. Now Task Manager will remain active but won't clutter up the taskbar. To make it visible, locate its tiny icon (a small bar graph display) on the right side of the taskbar near the time display and double-click it.
