Scrolling back through folder trees
There are a couple of ways to scroll back through folder trees in Explorer. One way is to click on the "Up One Level" button, provided you have the Toolbar turned on. You can turn the toolbar on by going to the menu bar and selecting "View / Toolbar". The "Up One Level" button resembles a folder with an UP arrow on it.
Another way is by using the Backspace key. While in Explorer, hitting the Backspace key will move you up one level. In other words, if you're presently exploring C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM, Backspace will move you back to C:\WINDOWS.
