Long file names from the Command Prompt
Now that you have long directory and file name capability, feel free to use it on the DOS command line. You can enter long file names, even those with spaces in them, by enclosing them in quotes. Remember though, that in a DOS window they're not case-sensitive; for example, C:\CD "program files" would be interpreted as c:\cd "program files."

For an added bonus for all you DOS fans, check out the new and improved EDIT.com (text editor) located in C:\Windows\Command, it now handles long file names too!
