Open My Computer Items in the Same Folder
If you want your drive folders to display in one window while using Windows NT Workstation 4.0 like they do in Windows 98 check this out. In Windows 98, all the items in My Computer opened in the same folder. In Windows NT, each time you double-click a drive icon, the drive opens in a new folder.
Windows allows you to view drive folders in one or many different windows. If you want to view all of your drives in a single window, double-click My Computer to open it and then choose View, Folder Options. When the Folder Options dialog box opens, click the General tab. Now click Settings to open the Custom Settings dialog box. Select the radio button labeled "Open each folder in the same window" and click OK to close the dialog box. Back in Folder Options, click Close to apply your changes and close the dialog box.
Note that this change will apply to all folders in the system--not just to My Computer.
