Daylight Saving Time - Part 2
We don't like to repeat tips but in this case we'll make an exception, and with good reason - we have more to say on the subject. Back on April 6th we ran a tip about Daylight Savings Time and the automatic time adjustment built into Win95. Here it is again, with an added tip.

When you first turned on your PC this morning, you may have been greeted with with this "New Clock Settings" dialog.

If you weren't, the first thing you may have to do today is change you PC's clock since Daylight Savings Time took effect last night. If you'd like to automate this twice-a-year chore, here's how. Open Control Panel, open Date/Time then click the Time Zone tab. Check the box labeled "Automatically adjust clock for daylight saving changes".

NOTE: For those of you who happen to be dual-booting between Windows 95 and Windows NT 4.0, here's another little tip. You may want to make sure you have the "Automatically adjust clock for daylight saving changes" checkbox is only checked in one OS or the other, but not BOTH. Each OS is unaware of the settings in the other so you might find your clock will be adjusted TWICE, causing your time settings to be off by one hour.
