Change the Administrator Name
If you're like most people, you probably accept most of the defaults whenever you install programs, and the Operating System is no exception. If that's the case, the Administrator Account in NT is named "Administrator". If you'd like to change this to something a little more personal or meaningful, here's how.

To rename the Administrator account, choose Start, Programs, Administrative Tools, then User Manager. When User Manager opens, select Administrator in the top pane and on the menu, click User, Rename. Type in the new name and click OK. Next click User, then Exit to close the dialog box.

When you restart the computer, enter the new name in the Logon dialog box, then enter your password.
