Instant Command Prompt
A while back, we showed you how you could access the Task Manager quickly via keystrokes. Wouldn't it be nice if you could access a Command Prompt just as quickly? Well, you can, and here's how.
There isn't a "hotkey" available, but you can add one to do the job. Right-click the Start button and choose Open. When the window opens, double-click the Programs icon. Now right-click the Command Prompt icon and choose Properties. When the Properties dialog box opens, click the Shortcut tab. Now click in the entry box labeled Shortcut Key and type D (or whatever key you want to assign). When you do, Windows NT will finish the line, making it Ctrl + Alt + D. Click OK to save your change and close the dialog box.
